Guwahati, Assam, December 22, 2016: Leading public sector bank Union Bank of India (UBI) has presented IFAW-WTI with a new vehicle to be used for the transportation of sick and injured wild animals and monitoring of rehabilitated wildlife in Manas National Park. The vehicle was handed over in a ceremony at the Taj Vivanta, Guwahati yesterday, as a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative under the Union Bank Social Foundation, UBI’s CSR wing.
The vehicle was flagged off by Mr Sunil Kumar Gupta, General Manager, Union Bank of India (FGMO Kolkata). Also present were Mr N R Samal, Regional Head; Mr Sunil Tyagi, Asst. General Manager, and other officials of Union Bank of India, Guwahati. Dr Bhaskar Choudhury, Regional Head (Northeast) received the vehicle on behalf of IFAW-WTI.
