Rhino
HImalayan black bear
A rhino calf at the Centre for Wildlife Rehabilitation and Conservation (CWRC) examines the transport crate, placed for habituation, for use during its relocation to the wild. A CWRC veterinarian examines a sub-adult Asiatic black bear that entered a human settlement and was rescued by the Assam Forest Department officials. The bear was released in the wild later.
Greater adjudant stork
Asian elephant
A greater adjutant stork chick admitted to CWRC for hand-raising. The chick had fallen off its nest in Rajakucchi village of Morigaon district in Assam. An Asian elephant calf undergoes final health examinations at CWRC before its relocation to Manas National Park, where five hand-raised calves were moved to Manas for a soft-release.
