Asiatic black bear
Asiatic black bear
A four month old female Asiatic Black bear cub in a relaxed mood, being hand-raised at CWRC near Kaziranga National Park. She was picked up by a local in June near Hooking under Namsai Forest Division, Arunachal Pradesh, confiscated by a team of Forest Department staff assisted by IFAW-WTI officials & brought it to CWRC. She will be shifted to CBRC for long-term rehabilitation.
An orphan Asiatic Black bear undergoing rehabilitation in Pakke Tiger Reserve, Arunachal Pradesh being radio collared in anticipation of its release into the wilderness by a team of Forest Department officials and IFAW-WTI staff members. The cub was brought to CWRC from Langtpingmupa Reserve Forest in Assam in May last year by Forest Department officials.

Asian open bill stork

A recently rescued elephant calf mingling with the captive elephant herd at CWRC. It is being treated for critical injuries after being rescued from a ravine in which it was trapped with its mother in Karbi Anglong district of Assam.

An Asian open bill stork rescued from Sapor was admitted to the CWRC Transit Home in Kokrajhar, Bodoland. The stork had been handed over to the Forest department after it was purchased. It was released the same day.
Indian gaur Slow loris

An Indian Gaur calf confiscated from Kachugaon, Kokrajhar by Forest Officials admitted at the CWRC Transit Home in Kokrajhar, Bodoland. Its condition is now better.

An adult male slow loris recovering from injury at the CWRC. It was Handed over to the FD by village locals of Sulung near Kalia Bhumura of Sonitpur district when they found it injured.
