Wildlife Trust of India (WTI) invites applications from accomplished individuals with at least 15 years of top-level experience in providing effective and inspiring leadership for developing the organisation.

Who we’re looking for

As our Chief Operating Officer, you will have a deep understanding of traditional and innovative strategies, and a proven track record of inspirational leadership. You will have the vision to seek out new opportunities and/or address organisational challenges. And, of course, you will have a passion for wildlife conservation.

Qualifications and skills

  • Postgraduate Degree (or higher) in any discipline
  • Minimum 15+ Years experience
  • Age between 35-45 years
  • Must have past experience working with an NGO
  • Must have an understanding of wildlife conservation and related issues

Broad responsibilities include

  • Providing effective and inspiring leadership by developing a broad and deep knowledge of all WTI programs and being actively involved with them.
  • Identifying opportunities for WTI to leverage cross-program strengths to take advantage of new opportunities and/or address organisational challenges.
  • Managing relationships with existing donors and developing partnerships with public and private sector organisations, governments and individuals to meet program objectives as well as secure and expand recurring revenue streams.
  • Ensuring the continued financial viability of WTI’s operational projects through sound fiscal management.
  • Leading, coaching and developing WTI’s senior management team with an emphasis on developing capacity in strategic analysis and planning.
  • Contributing to overall decision making processes as a member of the Executive Management Team, including conceptualisation and implementation of WTI’s Vision 20-20 document.
  • Publicly representing WTI with the media and external constituency groups including community, governmental and private organisations, and building excitement for WTI’s programs.
